So, my little brother Peter (who likes to be called Pete but I just can't remember to do that because my mom always yelled at anyone who said Pete so I always said Peter and just can't change it now...*inhale*) moved to town. He's actually over in Council Bluffs, IA, but that's not more than about 90 minutes away. Anyway, I'd been asking him to consider moving here and just before Thanksgiving, my dad called to tell me that he was finally coming. I was thrilled. He'd never even met Abby, let alone Josh. He got an apartment (or what is actually more like one-third of a house) and is looking for a job. Saturday night, he was sitting out in front of his house when 3 guys pulled up, jumped out, beat him up, and left! He'd been here 6 days. What a welcome, huh? He's okay, and amazingly, they didn't take anything. Poor guy, though. I just hope he doesn't change his mind about living here.
