If you give a kid a camera...

...you are going to get a lot of pictures.

Apparently, Caleb's new goal in life is to fill up my camera's memory card. I have so many pictures of the work that's been going on around here that I could actually make several stop-action movies.

I suppose I could've alternately titled this "Walls", though, because we have them! Or the start of them, at least. And that's a good thing, too, because Don's folks leave Europe tomorrow...they'll be here in less than 2 weeks, most likely.

Our walls for the new part of the basement are these insulated forms with poured cement inside. They will actually only be underground and then the 2-foot base of the exposed walls. Wood framing will make up the rest.

Caleb's somewhat edgy view of the inside of the forms with rebar.

The walls have spent the weekend getting nice and firm and dry and they will begin pouring the floors today. The framers will get here on Thursday. I'll be walking (as opposed to climbing) out a door before I know it.

Your addition is coming along. It looks great. It will all be over before you know it.
