Promotion Day

On Friday, Don was promoted to Major. His old boss from Arizona came in for the event, which was especially nice.
Here we are, do the mandatory smashing in of the pins. I don't understand this ritual, especially when it is the wife doing the pinning. Like I would actually try to hurt my husband! Anyway, I played along.

At the last promotion, Meagan was just a babe on my hip...probably about 9 months old or so. At this one, she and Caleb were able to take part by doing the switching of the rank boards on the shirt. She practiced beforehand on the Colonel's shirt.
It's been a long and winding road that has gotten us to this point. And regardless of what happens on the remainder of the road, I'm so proud of all that Don has accomplished as a military lawyer. He is really very talented at it, as is evidenced by the glowing things his bosses always say and by the trust they put in him. Good job, Don!
