And so we had an ultrasound...

And we didn't find out!!!

After much begging, pleading, debating, deciding, re-deciding, and bribing, we went in and told the tech not to tell us. This is the first time that we will be surprised by the baby's gender. I really can't believe we held firm after all. Caleb truly believes that we are torturing him.

Baby looks really good. He/she was waving a finger at us over his/her head and we got a great frontal view with a gaping wide open mouth...perhaps a yawn? Baby is bottom-down right now, but there is plenty of time to get in the right position.

YAY! How exciting! I thoroughly loved not knowing with our third. Incidentally, he was our first home birth (after two cesareans) and it was just so neat finding out just after pushing him out. Enjoy the waiting time. :)

I didn't know my 1st or 3rd, but I love hearing what the mom's "instinct" says and then waiting to see if she was right. So what is your instinct telling you?

My instinct? I really don't have one, surprisingly. I did with Caleb & I was right. I did with Meagan & I was right. I did with Abby and I was dead wrong. My instincts must be a little gun shy this time.

I will say that Caleb has been praying for a baby brother since 2 Christmases ago, so I can't help rooting for him. Even Meagan is hoping for a boy, for his sake.
